  • Drums or Containers That Once Held Solvents, Freon or Other CFC’s, Paints, Any Oil Products, or Any Hazardous Products
  • Catalytic Converters Not Attached to a Car
  • Food and Beverage Containers
SPECIAL CONDITIONS FOR AUTOMOBILES AND APPLIANCES

Appliances: accepted only if the CFC’s, and compressors have been properly removed. Microwave ovens without the door are acceptable.

At our Sanford facility, automobiles are accepted only if the freon charge has been properly removed from the air conditioning system. The battery, gas tank, and all fluids (including transmission and motor oil and antifreeze) also must be removed before entering Lee Iron & Metal Co., Inc. At our Lillington facility, we will accept your automobile "as is".

In all cases, we must have the title if the vehicle is less than ten (10) years old.
